College Football!

Week 13 is done and only 3 more weekends of regular season college football remain. We begin looking back at this past weekend with our teams finishing with a 9-6 record that included multiples head to head matchups.

The Eagles of Eastern Michigan beating Northern IL 45-17 at Husky Stadium. Mike Glass threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to gain bowl eligibility this season. The Miami Ohio RedHawks defeated Akron in a close 17-20 game. The RedHawks thought they had the game in the bag at halftime, but Akron fought back with a 14-3 second half to come down just a field goal short to tie the game in the fourth. Moving to Wyoming War Memorial Stadium, the Wyoming Cowboys Defensive Backer Trey McBride picked off Colorado State Quarterback Patrick O'Brien with three minutes left in the game to help the Cowboys seal the 17-7 victory.

BYU took down easily the UMass Minutemen easily 56-24 with a huge 42 points second quarter. Nwigwe and the Cougar defense put together a phenomenal first half, allowing no points and giving up just 16 total yards to the UMass offense. The Iowa State Cyclones beat the Kansas Jayhawks 41-31. Brock Purdy's 5-yard touchdown run with just more than five minutes remaining proved to be the difference in this victory.

The Iowa Hawkeyes faced the Illinois Fighting Illini and close out their home slate with a senior day win 19-10. This win for the Hawkeyes helps them get the #17 rank ahead of the CFB Playoff.

The Utah Utes took down Arizona moving one step closer to the Pac-12 South title with a 35-7 win. The Utes’ stellar defense has held six of their opponents to under 10 points this season. If Utah can beat Colorado, they will clinch the Pac-12 South and secure a berth to the championship game.

Boise State dominated in both ends to deliver a complete performance and defeat Utah State 56-21. The Broncos scored 21 points in the first and second quarter to end the half 42-7. Utah State after this loss need to secure a win against New Mexico to secure a berth in a bowl game.
