Fan Frenzy teams‚Äô week 12 was fun ūüŹą

Fan Frenzy teams’ week 12 was fun and dominant for the most part. Eleven teams took the field, nine came down with a victory, seven of those won by double digits.

The first victory we want to highlight was UCLA at Utah. No. 7 Utah continues to add to its College Football Playoff case after handling UCLA 49-3 on Saturday night in Salt Lake City. The Utes victory marks win number nine on the season and now sit comfortably at-top of the Pac-12 South standings at 6-1 in conference play. Utah running back Zack Moss keeps his tremendous senior year rolling as he finished with 127 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and 73 receiving yards.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons were 7-1, ranked in the top 20 and had an offense ranked in the top 15 nationally. Then the¬†Tigers¬†did to Wake Forest what¬†Clemson¬†has done¬†to¬†every other team they‚Äôve played for the past month and a half ‚ÄĒ absolutely dominate.¬†Clemson¬†defeated Wake Forest by 49 points 52-3.

The Iowa Hawkeyes bounced back from last week by handing out the Minnesota Golden Gophers their first lost of the season. Iowa QB Nate Stanley threw for 173 and two touchdowns in a 23-19 win over Minnesota.

Boise State won again, this time against New Mexico 42-9. The Broncos now moves closer to the west division title with this victory. Memphis also secured a win against Houston 45-27 behind an explosive offensive game from quarterback Brady White. White’s Saturday was over before the game ended after he picked apart the Cougars' secondary for 341 yards passing and five touchdowns. He also added a 14-yard touchdown run as Memphis won its fourth straight.

The Oregon Ducks has held six opponents to fewer than 10 points. Something they hadn’t done in almost 60 years. This time it was Arizona’s turn to face them and the contest was not close. The Ducks controlled the entire game as they methodically worked towards a 34-6 victory.

Three other teams secured victories on Saturday. Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Miami Ohio. The Eagles faced an Akron team who hasn’t won a game all season and they kept that streak alive by losing to Eastern Michigan 42-14. The Ohio Bobcats took the Western Michigan Broncos to overtime and the Broncos beat them by a field goal 37-34. The Bowling Green Falcons scored a field goal to start the game and the Miami RedHawks responded back with a 44-0 run with a final score of 44-3.

The two lone losses were given to Kansas and Missouri. The Jayhawks after starting the season right, had been going downhill and this game was no exception. Oklahoma state defeated Kansas by 18 points with a final score of 31-13. The Missouri Tigers had a 17-point loss to the Florida Gators 26-6. The Mizzou has lost now four in a row as Missouri couldn’t overcome bad breaks and self-inflicted mishaps.

Coming up in week 13 ‚ÄstEastern Michigan¬†at Northern Illinois, Akron at¬†Miami Ohio,¬†NC State¬†at Georgia Tech,¬†Colorado State¬†at¬†Wyoming,¬†BYU¬†at UMass,¬†Kansas¬†at¬†Iowa State,¬†Illinois¬†at¬†Iowa,¬†Georgia Southern¬†at Arkansas State,¬†Memphis¬†at South Florida,¬†Florida Atlantic¬†at UTSA,¬†Kansas State¬†at Texas Tech, Tennessee at¬†Missouri,¬†Oregon¬†at Arizona State,¬†Oregon State¬†at Washington State,¬†Utah¬†at Arizona, Washington at¬†Colorado,¬†Boise State¬†at¬†Utah State.
